The prokaryotes are a group of organisms that lack a cell membrane-bound nucleus and membrane-bound organelles. They differ from the eukaryotes, which have a cell nucleus and other various membrane-bound organelles. Prokaryotic cells feature three major shapes: rod shaped, spherical, and spiral. The prokaryotes are divided into two domains (Kingdom’s): the bacteria and the archaea.
A eukaryote is an organism which contain complex structures enclosed within membranes. The one who spread eukaryotic cells apart from prokaryotic cells is the nucleus when the genetic material such as RNA and DNA is carried. Most eukaryotic cells also contain other membrane-bound organelles such as mitochondrions, chloroplasts and numerous other organelles.
